Delinquent Hamsters Feels the Yuletide Spirit

Delinquent Hamsters contains not one, but two Christmas-inspired shorts called “Christmas Eve Punks” and “Chris Moose is for Good Hams.”

We swear that the second title makes sense in context.

Anyway, in “Christmas Eve Punks,” our favorite hamsters are confronted with cookies that look exactly like them, which sparks an existential crisis in the delinquents, and in “Chris Moose is for Good Hams,” they debate whether or not they’ve been good this year.

Apparently, Santa only brings presents to good little hams… but these hams did not know this. They wouldn’t have torn up a cushion and nommed on some cotton swabs and ripped up tissues if they’d known the terrible, horrible truth about Santa’s Naughty List. Nooooo! (*wails dramatically at the sky*)

(Spoiler: They’ve been naughty, but luckily for these bad-boy hams, “Santa” is the merciful sort.)

Yumeiro Patissiere Celebrates with Sweets

Looking to warm your heart this holiday season? Yumeiro Patissiere’s twelfth episode, “The Seven Year Merry Christmas!,” is the perfect gift for a three-sizes-too-small heart, we promise!

In this episode, Ichigo and the other students at St. Marie’s Academy must bake Christmas cakes to raise money for a local charity. Ichigo bakes a lackluster cake, however, which means her confection doesn’t get noticed or purchased at the charity drive — but she’s still able to do some good when a man purchases her cake and uses it to reconnect with a lost love. It’s a touching story complete with a jazz soundtrack that you’ll happily consume during your annual Christmas-anime-episode-binge.

Plus, you get to look at delicious cakes when you watch this one. And there’s a trumpet solo, too. Win-win!

RIN-NE Decks the Halls… of a Lonely House?

We’ve got a question for ya: Ever felt trapped at a Christmas party?

We know we have. Getting caught between the eggnog bowl and your super chatty coworker can be a harrowing experience, but at least you’re not literally trapped in a sentient house that’s trying to force you to experience Christmas cheer against your will. That’s the plot of episode 22 of RIN-NE, “Christmas in the Derelict,” which sees our protagonists trapped in a dilapidated house intent on reliving its memories of Christmases past. Hijinks ensue involving the trapped kids, a bucket of fried chicken and a shinigami scythe... but it turns out the house isn’t evil. It just misses its old family and wants to experience the magic of the holidays again.

Aaaand, we’re not crying; YOU’RE CRYING.

Sometimes people (or houses) just need companionship, we guess. So maybe talk to your chatty coworker for just a little longer than usual at this year’s X-mas shindig, OK?

My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU TOO! Gifts Us an Entire Christmas Story Arc

Hark! the herald angels sing; glory to the Christmas-themed story arc in My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU TOO!

Starting in episode six (“Without Incident, the Congress Dances, But Does Not Progress”), the Service Club gang is back at it again and doing their best to help their classmates solve their many, many problems. This time, the Student Council asked the club to help plan a jingle-bell-rockin’ Christmas event, setting them on a quest to better understand Christmas itself — and maybe each other somewhere along the way.

This storyline lasts until episode 10 (“The Thing That the Light in Each of Their Hands Illuminates.”), when the club has to save their bungled Christmas soirée in the only way they know how: with a climactic musical number complete with singing angels bearing good tidings, great joy and Christmas cakes for the enraptured onlookers. With a song and dance like that, these are Christmas episodes you won’t want to miss!

And Watch Why the Hell are You Here, Teacher!?, but ***ONLY* *AFTER DARK***

Be sure the kiddies are dreaming of dancing sugar-plums before you check out episode 10 (“Tenth Period”) of Why the Hell are You Here, Teacher!? This show’s got a lot of plot, if you know what we mean.

The episode itself is about Koh, who really wants to find a girlfriend he can spend Christmas with. Turns out the school nurse has the perfect cure for him! It involves a sexy Santa outfit, a video camera, and… a lot of plot.

Like, a lot of plot.

We’re still not sure how this episode managed to avoid a mistletoe gag, honestly.

Anyway. Let’s just say you might end up on Santa’s naughty list if you decide to watch this one. Viewer discretion is advised this holiday season. HO-HO-HO!
