Software Engineer, Level II

Location: Houston, TX

Summary of Position:

Aesir Media Group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to produce and support applications using cutting- edge technologies to provide a robust end-user experience in support of key business initiatives. Responsible for collaborating with the Software Engineering and QA teams to facilitate the deployment of applications to development and production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the production of web/desktop/server applications through all phases of the SDLC
  • Identify opportunities to fine-tune and optimize applications
  • Provide technical support and consultation for applications
  • Manage source code repositories, including branching and merging of code lines
  • Manage and configure AWS services
  • Provision, configure and maintain cloud resources including server instances, load balancers, security groups, DNS management, certificates
  • Manage and maintain development and production systems
  • Identify production and non-production application issues o Troubleshoot issues as they arise by viewing logs, attempting to reproduce in a controlled environment
  • Apply periodic updates, patches, etc. to servers. o Ensure system uptime by monitoring production systems and responding to issues with corrective action
  • Communicate effectively with other engineers and business stakeholders
  • Limited management of projects and other team members
  • Limited on-call rotation to ensure 24-hour system uptime and address production issues with other team members

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree – minimum 5 year’s work experience
  • ASP.NET MVC, C#

Content Marketing Specialist

ROLE SUMMARY: The Content Marketing Specialist leads teams, drives projects, develops content, engages audiences and delivers on product and marketing goals across multiple brands and verticals. The ideal candidate is highly organized, has a deep understanding and empathy for fan communities and will bring creativity, enthusiasm, and a great sense of wit to the team environment, while consistently driving results.

The Content Marketing Specialist combines tact and storytelling.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (JOB REQUIREMENTS):

  • Must be an expert on target audiences who consume the company’s products and services
  • Able to quickly identify trends in digital media and broader audience communities and capitalize on those trends to achieve company objectives
  • Lead content strategy and subscriber growth strategy through various tactics designed to build brand awareness and increase fan engagement
  • Achieve company objectives by leveraging owned media as well as building relationships with outside assets (e.g. influencers)
  • Serve as project manager to conceptualize, create, and lead implementation of engaging content strategies across all digital platforms for multiple brands as they relate to customer acquisition and their broader communities
  • Serve as lead editor and lead writer, over branded publications on a brand by brand basis across a broad range of business-to-consumer digital and traditional marketing media such as press releases, eNewsletters, blogs, video marketing, email marketing, event collateral and advertising and more.
  • Manage end-to-end email marketing strategies for HIDIVE, inclusive of a well-executed proofing process to ultimately lead to subscriber growth
  • Contribute to company's eComm (email) subscriber list growth
  • Contribute to HIDIVE’s premium subscriber base growth
  • Facilitate cross-functional projects that support digital video strategies, specifically as they relate to HIDIVE’s subscriber base growth and eComm Shop growth
  • Regularly assist Production with activities that ultimately affect downstream distribution of products—i.e, voice actor casting, trailer creation, bonus footage creation, etc.
  • Consistently lead projects with a positive attitude and as a brand proponent with a keen focus on the needs of the customer
  • Clearly and precisely communicate directives and necessary deliverables to cross-functional teams to ensure deadlines are met
  • Mentor junior marketing personnel and staff writers with a positive attitude

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5 years of experience in B2C Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or related field
  • Highly experienced in integrating marketing initiatives across multiple digital and traditional platforms, as well as media
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent storyteller, writer, and editorialist
  • Strong understanding of SEO and content marketing
  • Highly proficient in email marketing and management
  • Social media experience required
  • Experience managing teams a plus
  • Must have a BA or BS in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field

Fan Development & Community Manager


ROLE SUMMARY: HIDIVE’s social team is seeking a Fan Development and Community Manager who will be an exceptional addition to our Marketing team. As the Fan Development and Community Manager at HIDIVE, you will be responsible for engaging and growing our brand and subscriber base by promoting HIDIVE priorities, resonating with fans and differentiating our brand. The right person for this role is a creative and strategic thinker with a love for all things anime, manga, films, game and entertainment. If you are someone who can use data and insights to create brand advocates and a more engaged social following, then this is a great role for you.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Develop and lead social daily publishing and community management activities at scale including but not limited to the creation and maintenance of the brand social programming calendar that supports long-term, campaign-specific, event and opportunistic cadences and priorities.
  • Organize and project manage department and channel priorities and how they are expressed on brand social media platforms
  • Help define and maintain HIDIVE’s fan growth and development strategy, including methods for acquisition, engagement, retention, moderation policies as well as opportunistic and real-time fan community strategies that add HIDIVE to the social conversation in meaningful and timely ways.
  • Develop and implement blogger, social influencer and 3rd party community outreach and engagement strategies.
  • Work with Campaign and Paid Media Manager to leverage content through Paid Social channels.
  • Help concept and execute on ideas for how to engage fan community members and new prospective subscribers.
  • Work closely with the social team, develop and expand HIDIVE’s unique social voice and tone on all brand channels and be responsible for ensuring that voice and tone is reflected in all brand social content and community interactions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that cross-departmental strategic goals are met and execute engaging, and award-winning social campaigns.
  • Develop and maintain social best practices, strategies, and approach with other departments who utilize social accounts, platforms and strategies to achieve their business objectives.
  • Work closely with DevOps and UX teams to enhance viewer experience and foster internal communications to further our efforts and support company-wide initiatives.
  • Work with analytics to help develop KPIs and help create mechanisms to analyze the team's initiatives and their impact on business results.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience working in social media marketing and entertainment ideal. A deep love and knowledge of TV, movies and pop culture is a must.
  • Record of developing and executing successful large-scale campaigns with measurable results.
  • Proven results building a social following across a variety of channels and leveraging social to drive activation.
  • Experience with paid social and understanding of Paid, Earned and Owned strategies and how they work together.
  • A passion for what captures people’s attention and gets people talking.
  • Experience managing agencies/vendors to deliver world-class strategies and creative.
  • Demonstrated passion for driving big ideas through customer insights and an understanding of social media analytics with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Creative thinker with strong visual and editorial judgment and comes to the table with writing, grammar, and content-creation skills (samples required) as well as the ability to work for a corporate brand with defined policies/guidelines.
  • Expert understanding of best practices standards for all social media channels including and not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, Pinterest, Snapchat, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and collaborative working style - ability to inspire, motivate and lead cross-functional teams to achieve goals.

EVEN BETTER:

  • Knowledgeable love for anime, manga and or video games.
  • In-House community management or relevant fan development experience a plus.
  • 3-5 years of managing a team
